    The level 4 Certificate in Leading the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and practice qualification is for learners aged 19 and above. It’s intended for those who lead a team of internal quality assurance staff.

     

    Entry Requirements

    You need to demonstrate competency in order to enroll for this course. Competency is assessed as either having qualifications and experience in the subject area you want to moderate. You will need to be working within an educational environment as a lead moderator. There must be evidence you lead a team of assessors or internal moderators.

    The course is delivered online and you are expected to have access to the internet, computer and a word processor that can open and produce Microsoft Word Documents ending with the extension ‘.doc’. Candidates without Microsoft office are advised to consider open software such as Open Office. You however need to ensure your documents are saved and submitted for assessment as word documents ending with the extension ‘.doc’?

     

    Structure

    The course has a total QCF credit value of 17. In order to gain the Level 4 Certificate in Leading the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and practice you will need to complete a portfolio on the following mandatory units:

    Unit 1 Understanding the principles and practices of internally assuring the quality of assessment 6 Credits Unit 2 Internally assure the quality of assessment 6 Credits Unit 3 Plan,allocate and monitor work in own area of responsibility 5 Credits.

     

    Assessment

    Unit 1 is assessed by 4 theory questions and scenarios. Unit 2 and 3 are practical units which have to be met by supporting at least two assessors and carrying out quality assurance activities such as sampling or preparing policies to meet awarding body requirements.

     

    Delivery

    Online learning plus you will be required to undertake practical work experience.

     

    Duration

    The course has a 115 guided learning hours requirement. This means that you are expected to demonstrate that you have been supported by staff from Active Training Academy for at least 115 hours.

    You are usually expected to complete the course within 6 weeks from enrollment. We however give you an additional 4 weeks if you fail to complete during the normal completion.

    Cost

    £590.00.  You can pay online with a 10% discount or pay a £200 deposit and then two further monthly payments of £195. Certificates will not be issued until course fees are paid in full.
