In her Integrative Medicine practice Rosy guides those with cancer into personalised positive health programmes combining the best of all worlds orthodox and complementary in highly personalised holistic healthcare.
During 2025 Rosy became Lead Author on the academic paper ‘The Case for Integration of Health Coaching within Integrative Oncology Needs, Outcomes, Models, and Standards’ (June 2015) published in Springer Current Oncology Reports in collaboration with the SIO/BSIO Special Interest Group members. This called for a major literature review based on which she and co-authors Julie Bach and Izabella Natrins have now called for inclusion of Specialist Cancer Coaches in the heart of Oncology teams.
Determined to make this a reality, Rosy is now focusing her training efforts on up-skilling health coaches with advanced coaching skills through her CPD training ‘Health Coaching for People with Cancer’. This course aims to equip the coach to help people with cancer to navigate the shock, trauma and overwhelm of a cancer diagnosis, the rigours of treatment, the confrontation with their mortality, and onwards into the great benefits of a proactive wellness journey.
The conference session Health Coaches: Vital but Missing Components in Cancer and Oncology Care
In this session, Izabella Natrins and Dr Rosy Daniel will present the case and evidence for the integration of skilled health coaches as vital components within cancer and oncology care pathways.
Based on their experience their current work, they will set the context, present the need and evidence, highlight skills gaps and propose solutions to argue that health coaching fills an important gap in oncology services and offers a scalable, cost-effective solution to improve patient outcomes across the cancer continuum. With established global standards and clear competencies, health coaching should be integrated as an essential component of cancer and oncology care services.
There will be an opportunity for open discussion and questions.

Dr Rosemary Nyabadza
GP and Integrative Health Coach
After growing up in post-colonial Zimbabwe and obtaining her degree in Western Medicine as a Rhodes Scholar at the University of Oxford, Rosemary continued her education by acquiring a Master's in Public Health at the University of Manchester.
Parallel to her conventional medical path, her personal journey and its impact on her health opened the doors to her spiritual awakening and the realisation that the wisdom and guidance of practitioners from ancient and embodied traditions have indisputable value.
As a result of this insight, she has spent years immersed in self-study and deep exploration of various contemplative practices.
Rosemary has trained in Functional Medicine through the Institute of Functional Medicine and a Certificate in Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy at Naropa University in Colorado. Both trainings are dear to her heart as they are harbingers of the start of Western Medicine formally acknowledging the importance of a whole-person approach and the profound value that lies in ancient practices, rituals and medical wisdom.
Rosemary commits herself to bridging the world of Western Medicine with Ancient wisdom and to educating people in discovering their own definition of health by finding their way back to their body and Inner-Healer.
Her health coaching work is centred around the ancient/biological need that we all have for safety and exploring with her clients what unique and multifactorial shape that safety takes in their lives. You can find her at www.thedoctorrosemary.com

Conference Session: Safety, Adaptation, and Healing: Rethinking “Disease” as the Body’s Wisdom
What if the states we call “disease” are not failures of the body, but intelligent adaptations or protective responses to perceived threats?
In this session, Dr. Rosemary Nyabadza, a UK-based GP and integrative health practitioner, invites us to reframe our understanding of illness through the lens of the ancient/biological need for safety and the body’s innate ability to receive and respond to various types of information.
Rather than battling a “broken” body, we can identify hidden threats, create safety, and restore balance. This talk offers a compassionate, science-informed perspective on how gratitude, deep listening and strategic changes allow the body’s wisdom to guide us back to wellness.
